Chris92671 Posted December 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2016 Hi guys From November 27th to December 9th was I on a great cruise with Anthem of the seas, we cruised out from Bayonne, New Jersey and had 2,5 days at sea before we arrived to San Juan, Puerto Rico, from SJU we sailed to St. Maarten, St. John's(first time to this port for Anthem), Barbados, Martinque and St. Kitts before 3 days at sea before arriving back to Bayonne and flew home to Norway. It was a great cruise with great drink, food and excellent service from the crew. The north star a fun thing to do, also bumper cars. I have created a album on Flickr, I have posted some interior photos to start with, I will add photos from the ports in the coming days. Here we are docked with Navigator of the seas, a ship I have cruised on 2 times earlier

Chris92671 Posted December 15, 2016 Author #18 Share Posted December 15, 2016 December 1: St. Maarten Woke up around 8.00AM had some breakfast in WJ before going out on deck 15 and watch the arrival from portside since we were docking with portside. Oasis OTS, Navigator OTS, Celebrity Summit and Celebrity Silhouette had already arrived. We docked at 10.00 AM Staff captain Wendy turned the vessel smooth around and backed in to port and next to Oasis. Together we were around 11000 passenger on that pier. total around 19000 passenger in St. Maarten that day with Navigator, Oasis, Summit and Silhouette. https://www.flickr.com/photos/57316236@N08/albums/72157673887517193/page2 The pilot is comming From left: Oasis, Summit and Navigator Oasis along side, not world largest any more, but still huge! Silhouette, Summit, Oasis and Anthem We choose to go to Maho beach, it was way to many people there, and ladies taking of their bikini tops to get free drinks (some of they should kept it on) after some beers, lunch and Air France A340 landing we headed back to the ship. A interesting drive back, first a accident causing some traffic jam and when cleared of the accident, they had to open the bridge so some sailboat could get in/out of the bay, It took around 15 minuts. but we had no rush and was back onboard 2 hours before departure. Celebrity Silhouette was first out And Navigator. Summit and Oasis set sail before us, but it was dark when they sailed.

Chris92671 Posted December 19, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted December 19, 2016 December 2. St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda This port of call was Anthem's first stop in St. John's and also Anthem was the first ship to arrive on the newly upgraded berth. The berth was upgraded so ship as Anthem of the seas could arrive to this port. Other ship in port was Norwegian Gem and Balmoral. Important person's from Antigua & Barbuda was aboard during our docking time. There was a little ceremony on the pier to celebrate this before our departure, this actually delayed our departure since Captain Screko was last man on board minutes before departure time(of course Staff captain had make the ship ready for dep.), and with Norwegian Gem already under way we had to wait. After departure we turned around and heads out for open water and Bridgetown, Barbados. There was some fireworks during our outbound sailing from St. John's You can see pictures here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/57316236@N08/albums/72157673887517193/page2 Anthem of the seas docked for the very first time in St. John's Norwegian Gem backing out.
