Hi Michael - glad we aint the only family on board :)

We too love Celebrity, and it will be so, so nice to back to Celebrity after trying a few other lines last year

(whilst this is our first time on Connie, we have been on Eclipse, Equinox, Infinity, Silhouette and Solstice (our favourite)

We have very good friends from Cologne who sailed out on Solstice today (from Sydney where we live ...)and we are rather jealous just now

So time to about to start planning our ports ....

Hey Michael - just wondering how you are going with your planning ?

We have no tours booked as yet, Boracay we will find a beach.

We have been to Hong Kong before but are undecided.

Hoping to join some of the CC tours for Vietnam, we don't really like the

large ship organised excursions.

Im keen to venture into Ho Chi Minh for the day, don't think we will bother in Manila.

By the way we are a 51/37 year old Aussie/Mexican couple.

Cheers

Hi,sorry for answering so late. sad that cruisecritics does not inform us when there is a new post... I am quite busy at work and do not find the time to read all the posts on the roll call....

We have been to several Celebrity ships, love the solstice class but also had good times on the Constellation and Millenium the last years.I think the people you meet and the palces you get to see are sometimes more important than the ship.

We (51 and 50 years old) do also prefer smaller or individual tours than the tours organized by the ship.

we plan to visit friends in Saigon for the day.

I am thinking about Da Nang as most individual tours do not go to Hue and I have read that Hue is the more important place to go there....?!

In Hong Kong we think about going to Lantau by public transport as we have been to HK several times but not to Lantau and the big Buddha there.

Manila I am planning to just go to the old part of town and walk around without tour.

Borocay just the beach. There is nothing great on offer in Kota Kinabalu. I wanted to see the Orang Utans so bad but they closed the station and there is not much more to visit. Maybe the cultural village?

Have you made any plans/reservations?

I have very nice memories of Sydney, what a great city!

Looking forward to meet you.
