Dlynn Posted November 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2005 I have been looking for water shoes. One of the websites had waterproof sport sandals. I was wondering if the sport sandals would be o.k. for the falls. Thank You :)
littledylansmom Posted November 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2005 Hi, I've climbed the falls over 20 times...I used to vacation in Jamaica with my parents 2-3 times a year. I've done it barefoot, but what works really good is just a cheap pair of sneakers like the low ones you can get at walmart for like $5...then you can just toss them after. Good Luck, It's a real workout!
Dlynn Posted November 10, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted November 10, 2005 Thank you for the information on the sneakers. I was hoping we could wear the sandals so we wouldn't have to bring an extra pair of shoes.
ksg Posted November 11, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2005 I wore water sandals (TEVAS) last year while climbing the falls. Water shoes would have been a better choice. Although the TEVAS are so comfortable, the current sometimes got between the sandal and my foot, making it a little difficult to maneuver. My husband wore the water socks and had no problems. wibeachbum Posted November 18, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 18, 2005 I was hoping Tevas would work. My husband just threw out his old water shoes when he was cleaning his closet last weekend.
