Pre cruise activities

We will be in Ft. Lauderdale for a couple of days before our cruise. Any suggestions on what to do? Thinking of taking an everglades tour. Any suggestions for that?

On my last trip to Fort Lauderdale I took a water taxi tour which was brilliant for seeing a lot of Fort Lauderdale in a short space of time. It's like a hop on hop off bus with multiple routes :-)

We ate at Tarks of Dania Beach before our honeymoon cruise. We are trying to cruise out of Port Everglades just so we can eat there again. It's a small hole in the wall place with seafood and chicken wings.

Well...In case you didn't know, Ft Lauderdale has a world famous beach which stretches for miles and miles and each area has a different "flavor," vibe, features and attractions. Whether it's the Broadwalk in Hollywood, the pier at Dania Beach, the hotels, shops, restaurants and bars at Ft Lauderdale Beach or the pier and throwback feel of a by-gone era at Lauderdale By the Sea.

 

If you get bored going to the beach then you could visit the International Swimming Hall of Fame...

They have fish and shrimp cooked multiple ways, crab, gator, and oysters by the dozen. There is only about a dozen seats. Again, the wings are amazing too.
