Poppy42 Posted December 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2016 We've been on about ten or so Carnival cruises - last being January 2016. We liked to be served our meals and were disappointed that the DR is only open for brunch on sea days and not for breakfast and lunch. Is this still the case? We just got off the MSC Divinia and their DR is open for all meals when at sea & breakfast when in port including disembarkation day. Would like to go back to Carnival but this could be a deal breaker. We find that we eat less than we would at the buffet.

The MDR opens a little later on sea days but it serves breakfast and lunch items and nothing prevents you from coming when it opens for breakfast and coming back later for lunch. We love the brunch on sea days. Sent from my iPad using Forums
SadieN Posted December 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2016 The brunch menu is two sided. One side has typical breakfast items, the other has lunch. Only thing the breakfast brunch menu doesn't have are the baked apples.
Poppy42 Posted December 27, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted December 27, 2016 We like an early breakfast - MDR opens for brunch too late. Eating breakfast and lunch in the MDR gives us a chance to meet fellow cruisers as we share a table. On our last cruise (MSC Divinia) we met a couple at breakfast who live about 5 miles from us - we've become friends and now see them socially. Funny, on our cruise on the Miracle in August, we met several different groups from our neighborhood. It was a hoot!
Micahs Grandad Posted December 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2016 Brunch is nice but wish they would make some changes in the menu. Getting boring.
