Elegant Night

I will be sailing on the Liberty 3-night NYE Cruise. With New Years being the last night, I'm curious about whether or not this would be designated as our Elegant Night for the sailing. I'm trying to decide how much "formal attire" to pack, should they fall on separate nights... Any ideas?

Let me start with I love NYE cruises! I've been on board when the holiday fell on elegant night and NOT on elegant night. On the non-elegant night people were more dressed up than on the scheduled elegant night. It is a great party on board!

I'm so glad to hear the good feedback about NYE cruises! It's my first ever holiday cruise (and also my first time sailing with Carnival). I'm over-the-moon excited :)

 

Sounds like I'll just pack an extra cocktail dress just in case - you can never have too many dresses anyway, right? [emoji16][emoji322]🥂

My question is just what does Carnival consider 'Elegant Night' anymore? We will be on a 15 night cruise on Miracle next month. I know there will be several (2-3) 'Elegant Nights'. What is really meant by that on Carnival these days?
