ssb Posted January 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) Has anyone stayed there what are your thoughts regarding the location to the pier & the area surrounding that hotel .?Parking? Any information would be greatly appreciated . Are you asking about Pleasure Pier or Cruise Pier? Convenient to Pleasure Pier on Gulf. Two miles from Cruise Pier on cruise channel. Parking ? Call and ask. Hotel - there are no complaints on Cruise Critic . Read Reviews on Travel sites. We live here and are unaware of anything. Hotel was redone after IKE. Surrounding area is fine. see galveston.com/connect/maps and directions Edited January 5, 2017 by ssb

missorahbaby Posted January 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2017 We stayed there a few years ago. Very nice property. We were able to leave the car there while we cruised. Took a cab to the port and back. Would not hesitate to do it again.
theotherchad Posted January 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2017 This is an excellent and reasonably priced hotel. We have stayed there numerous times and although we have on occasion had issues (refrigerator not working, missing ironing board), the staff has always been quick to remedy everything with a smile. They have a small bar with a few local craft beers on tap and surprisingly good food (nothing special, just not bad, which is what I expected). The pool is small, but it's there if you want it. They do keep your car for you if you are cruising. The location is fantastic. You're facing the beach and within easy walking distance of the Pleasure Pier, The Hotel Galvez (which has a great bar in an elegant lobby) and several good restaurants. Millers Landing is a great place for breakfast and it's about a 4 block walk down the seawall!
