vaitape Posted January 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2017 Anyone ever stayed in 7008? Did the bridge cast shadows on the veranda? Was the view obstructed because 7006 doesn't have a veranda? We're booked into 7008 but have the chance to change. Yes, we know it's far forward but we like to be forward. Fewer slamming doors to tolerate among other reasons. As always, thanks for your input. In this photograph, the blue line on the ship represents the floor of deck 6. On the deck above that, the left porthole is in the dressing room of the Vista Suite, the right porthole is 7006 and the first veranda is 7008. Because they are recessed into the hull, it is my feeling that none of the side of the ship verandas on the R ships are especially sunny, but the bridge wing is certainly close enough that you will notice it, even if you were standing at the rail. FYI that section of Deck 7 is particularly quiet, in that the officers accomodations are directly above. ;)
vaitape Posted January 6, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted January 6, 2017 We were hoping you'd respond....thank you! Very helpful information. One last (hopefully) question: is the bridge still visible to pax in 7008 while on the veranda? We've enjoyed watching bridge activity.

Not on the veranda specifically, but you can certainly see what is going on while standing at your balcony railing. Enjoy! :D
vaitape Posted January 6, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted January 6, 2017 I initially thought you wrote "standing ON your balcony railing"! Yikes! Again, thank you for your help. We'll probably keep our booking in 7008 given the information received from you. the photo was very helpful too.
