Charter Boat Advice? Capt Jo Charter vs Capt Alan Charter

Has anyone tried either Capt Jo Boat Charter (Anse Marceil Marina) or Capt Alan Boat Charter (Oyster Bay Marina)? I would like to book an all day charter while in St. Martin, and these are my two leading contenders. We are a family of 6 with kids ages 8-18 yrs old. Capt Jo is private charter for the family and more expensive, but guaranteed just us for a full day. Capt Alan offers a 4 hour charter, and if 8 people sign up, and ask for it, they will offer the all day. We would like an all day charter we are in port 8am-6pm. I am not interested in a larger general charter (ie. Capt Bob's), because in the past we have had the conflict of our young children on a boat with older intoxicated passengers. (I call it our lesson learned excursion. While staying at a resort we booked a charter for a max of 12 passengers when our 4 kids were ages 3-13, and a group of six 20 somethings joined us on the boat. They were definitely there to party. Our kids still love to tell the story of that vacation:eek:)

We are also very pale New Englanders and prefer lots of shade to keep from burning, so any thoughts on a charter boat that offers shade would also be greatly appreciated. I think I'm leaning toward Capt Jo, but distance from the ship with the added transportation costs to get to the marina, and lunch appears to not be included. I would love any input. We are cruising on the NCL Gem in February. Thank you
