lookingahead Posted November 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2005 Hi Everyone!! I'm getting very psyched about my cruise!! However, I have a question. I am taking a small handheld nebulizer, which has a battery pack, for my aerosol meds. Does Carnival have a policy that items like this need a letter from my doctor to bring this? Thanks for any info!!
Rowan555 Posted November 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2005 You shouldn't have any trouble bringing it on board. Better that than to spend a fortune getting a breathing treatment in the infirmary! We bring my son's nebulizer when we travel and have never had a problem. flynrph Posted November 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2005 Cruise lines realize people have to take care of their medical needs. I guarantee there are many diabetic cruisers who have no problem handling their own personal care without interference. Take your meds along. Enjoy the cruise. Party hard. Eat like there is no tomorrow. See the waves. See the stars. See the bars. Read these boards and you should have a good idea of what to expect. Rare Timmys_mom Posted November 10, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2005 I'm sure you are aware of this already, but be sure to pack it in your carry-on. Depending upon the severity of your asthma, you may want to contact the Special Needs department and make them aware of your condition.
