Help! ship gets in really early!

Our ships gets into port at 7:30 am (Vancouver) and our flight does not leave until 4:40 pm. I really do not want to be in the airport all day. Will Princess keep our luggage for us? even the carry on? - I really don't want to be draging that around. How close is the dock to downtown and what time do things open in VC? How long to get to the airport? Princess booked our fights if that makes a difference.

You probably won't be able to get off ship until around 9 a.m. or so. You can always purchase a tour of the City with an airport drop off to kill time. Canada Place also has luggage storage. We did the last and walked around Gastown until we felt it was time to catch a cab to the airport after our cruise.

Got off the Island in Vancouver last week (repo from LA). Was surprised that those who were carrying their own luggage were first off the ship. Needless to say, we were off before 8:00am.

They had a notice in the final patter advising those who wished to carry their own luggage NOT to put it outside the last night.

It was a very effortless process, somuchso, we didn't even get to have bon voyage coffee and goodies (like we needed it!) in the Universe lounge for Platinum members - oh well... sometimes you just have to make sacrifices

PS - be sure to get up early (5am-ism) to watch the sail-in to Vancouver. It's breathtaking!
