Epic changes port to another country

We are on the earlier cruise which was to disembark in Rome. We are a group of 11 so this is a huge deal as we booked our airfare at Thanksgiving because it had dropped $800 per person, way too good of deal not to book then. Some I. Our group are very very upset that ncl would do this. They feel it is horrible customer service and are thinking of cancelling for the principal of it. I am wondering how many others are canceling now and is that what they are hoping we do so they can have more available rooms? I want to know who could have chartered such a large ship. We booked in July because of the itinerary and wanting to spend extra time in Rome
