spkell56 Posted January 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2017 Can anyone tell me who has been on a Norwegian cruise tour when you find out your hotel location for Anchorage and Denali? Thank you
sue402001 Posted January 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2017 In 2013 we found out about 2-4 weeks before we left. We ended up staying at the Sheraton in Anchorage & McKinley Village Lodge at Denali. Both were great places to be at.

McKinley Village I believe is not Denali village lodge. We stayed one other place, however I don't remember where that was.
sue402001 Posted January 16, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2017 Your welcome! debnjoe is right, McKinley Village Lodge is outside of Denali but it was a very short drive to get their. Enjoy your cruise!

JohnChiang Posted January 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2017 We did this Norwegian cruise tour in September 2015. Received our hotel info around 30 days before. Originally informed that we would be staying at a downtown Anchorage hotel but it was changed a week later to the Lakefront Anchorage hotel near the airport. The coolest thing about this hotel was being able to see the small float planes take off and land on the lake. The restaurants at this hotel were good but expensive. Our Denali hotel was the Denali Grizzly Bear Resort. It was rustic with no restaurants. A bit of a hike across the road to a another resort complex for dinner. Had breakfast in our room with snacks purchased the day before from the small store on site. Was able to see the Northern Lights here at 1AM. Our flight to Anchorage was delayed for over 5 hours and arrived late in the evening, but someone from the tour company was still waiting for us by the baggage carousel. Overall, a very nice vacation. Hope yours will be too.
