Buying Coffee in ports

We are interested in getting some good coffees in different ports on our Western Caribbean cruise. Any recommendations?

I've picked up coffee from Belize, St Thomas and San Juan. Look for Blue Mountain.!

I love the coffee from Rotan and normally bring back several (6+ bags). If you can buy it from a grocery store do. It will be less than half what you pay at the port or in Coxen Hole. I only found 1 brand in Belize and it was just okay. Never checked in Cozumel but plan to when we go in April.

I always seek out a grocery store. The some of the best coffee's that I have purchased have been from a grocery store. Plus they are not overpriced. And you get to see how other people shop.

 

Most grocery stores take credit cards so it is an even better deal than the exchange rates these place charge.

What brand in Roatan?

Don't remember the name brand. The bag has a bird on the cover. When do you sail? We will be in Rotan the first week of April and I will be buying coffee. I can let you know when we return if that will help.

I bought some of the Walala brand Honduran coffee right at the (Coxen Hole) dock in Roatan. It was some of the BEST coffee I have ever had and wish I had bought more than 1 bag. I think it was $12 USD. I'm going back in October and plan on stocking up :D
