CruiserJoJo Posted January 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Has anyone been to Coral World in St. Thomas recently? If so, what did you think of it. Thanks. :)
obnurse Posted January 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2017 We've been there a number of times and really enjoy it. When we're done there we go play and snorkel on Coki Beach. Coral World is a small place, not a all day place. You can interact with different animals, depending on what experience you like. The trainers are well informed and share a wealth of information. Have you done the sea lion swim? If so, did you book through the ship or directly with Coral World?
obnurse Posted January 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2017 We have done it twice and booked it on our own. Easy cab ride. You can get your tickets on the Coral World website. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. They have 2 sea lions, one in each of two pools. Very small groups with him. We were with Franco And I fell in love with him We had 4 people the first time and 5 people the second time. If you have 5 or 6 people, you'll have the sea lion to yourselves. The trainer is in the water with you and a second employee will take pictures the whole time, which they put on a disc and sell them. I can't remember the cost, but I was glad to have them. There is no other way to take pictures. You will spend some time on the deck with the sea lion and some time in the water. Lots of interesting facts and interaction. Your ticket includes admission to Coral World, which is nice to experience.
BuckNut8412 Posted January 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2017 Do you remember how long it took to get there? Did you dock at Crown Bay? I am worried we may be late and miss our time. Sent from my SM-G925V using Forums mobile app
obnurse Posted January 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2017 We were docked at Havensight and I recall about a 25-30 minutes (it seemed) to get there. They have different show times, so you should have plenty of time to enjoy.
gartam Posted February 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 12, 2017 How much did the cab cost? We'll have 9 total people.
