Seeking advice for group of many ages

Okay, so we are going on a cruise with a bunch of 60-74 year olds, a couple 2-year-olds, and a bunch of people in between (there are 32 of us total). What could we possibly do in Belize? Cave tubing is out I believe due to the ages. Is there any good shopping or sight seeing close to the port that isn't set up by the cruise lines? You know, the usual cruise line port offerings. Any amazing beaches? Fun shops? Good sights? We aren't too picky.

A good day trip would be to see the Ruins of Altun Ha, the site is very close to Port, there are restrooms and has a restaurant with delicious local food. i would recommend anyone to go there. If you start of early enough you would definitely have time to stop at the beach or do some shopping .We had a large group on the NCL Escape stopped by Belize in August some were seniors and some were in their teens 20's and 30's . We used http://www.waytogotoursbelize.com, they were able to provide us with our own private bus, and made stops along the way for us upon request. It was a much better experience than any cruise ship excursion we were on .
