Dakotasmommy1212 Posted January 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2017 Hello everyone! I'm in the middle of planning a wedding cruise and I'm so excited about it! I was wondering what time of the year is better to visit grand Turk, Freeport & halfmoon cay or princess cay. I'm looking into end of April cruises or beginning of September cruise. Any input on how bad hurricane season is in September? Thanks in advance!
mindymariexxo Posted January 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Since hurricane season is June 1-November 30, I personally would not plan a wedding in the Caribbean on one of the islands in September. Most of the season the weather is perfectly fine but on the off chance your wedding winds up being the week of the storm... eek!! I'd risk cruising in hurricane season for a regular vacation, but even an embarkation day wedding in September you run the risk of the cruise celebration after being stormy and missing ports. Drradical27 Posted October 31, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2017 I Have Cruised to those places in May twice and it has been perfect weather both times.
LuckyStar Posted November 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2017 I agree with Mindy. I would not plan a cruise during hurricane a season. April seems a lovely time for a wedding. Did a cruise in S. Carribean during April. Lovely weather. Sent from my LG-H918 using Forums mobile app
