Parking at Maho beach

Hi,

 

We would like to go to Maho beach to watch the planes land. We will be there on a Saturday and from what I've seen online there are 4 cruise ships expected that day.

Where can we park? Should we leave our car at home and take a bus? It looks on Google maps like there aren't many places to park.

 

If you recommend taking the bus, please tell me where to get it. We live in Cole Bay area.

We find it easiest to park around the corner from Sunset Bar and Grill on the opposite side of the street of the airport fence running the length of the runway.

 

If you have the time and want to get some exercise in then there is parking in the nearby Maho entertainment area as well. We did have to park there once as the line-up of cars at the round-about in Maho was just jammed so we made a right and packed in the lot past the pharmacy. It's 10 minutes or less and its a nice walk past the shops and casino and resorts.

We park where karysa describes, around the corner from Sunset, or in the Resort parking area right there. They may or may not charge $5, which is supposed to be refunded with purchase at Sunset.

 

We've never had to pay there. Perhaps because arriving earlier than most cruisers do.
