Carnival Ecstasy Serenity question

We were on the Ecstasy about 3 years ago and on the 7-day cruise, we were only able to find empty chairs on the Serenity area one time. Any suggestions--other than getting there at 7:00 am--on how to use this beautiful deck?

We mostly went there around 4pm, never had an issue. I'm guessing you need to be willing to stand around and wait. Unfortunately

There are other quiet-ish decks. Go up to 11 or the area around the funnel.

Usually if you wait for about 10-20 minutes some spots open.

 

We only want to sit in the shade, so we typically just hang out back under the overhang and someone decides to move on.

 

You can also hang out on lido aft in one of the two over hang areas that lead down to Serenity and watch for people that are getting ready to leave.

 

finally, it seems that most people dont find the area till about day 3... so if you go earlier in the cruise there usually are alot of spots.
