Dark Defender Posted January 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Hi I'll be visiting the port of St Raphael in the Summer. Struggling to find much info on things to do there. I'm minded to travel to Nice and/or Monaco. Has anyone got experience of St Raphael? Worth staying to explore? Or if you're best to visit elsewhere, is it easy enough to get from the cruise terminal to the train station?
Longislandtea Posted January 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2017 I was there on a Sunday and there was a really nice market. Also very nice beech with a nice French waiter providing very nice cocktails. ;)
Froggy Busdriver Posted January 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Go to Monaco in the morning you can get in the Casino and see how the rich live, I think it cost 10 euro to get in but amazing. If you are a petrol head look for the f1 circuit you will be amazed at how narrow and tight the corners are. Also watch the posers driving their luxury cars. k8ti Posted January 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2017 We had a lovely trip to Monaco. It was nice to see. Himself was interested in the F1 track and the bicycle race course on the way. I enjoyed seeing the Church were Grace Kelly lies and seeing the changing of the guards. Not as grand as London but none the less good. We had a light lunch and people watched for a while. On the way back we passed the ship and had a look at Niece. Not a lot to see but as we were close it was worth a look at. The sail out from the port is lovely. You can see the coast line for quite a while. We scattered my Father-In-Laws ashes as the sun was setting. They gently blew into the sun set. Then a little ash landed gently on a ladies cleavage as she was taking in the last of the sun. She took a deep breath of her cigarette and swished him away. We were I must add with the Head of Hospitality and did have the permission of the Captain. (The lady was a member of the crew They had a area for crew to sit outside.)
