Nay Nay Posted November 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2005 Just want to make sure I don't embarass myself on the tour. Is it hard to get on and off the boat when you're some pounds overweight? TIA!
traci28 Posted November 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2005 I'm sure it depends on the boat - but we were on the Buccanear and there were about 10 - 12 rungs on the ladder to get in and out of the boat. Other then that - I wouldn't say it was physically challenging at all.

sme Posted November 12, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2005 My wife and I went to Sting Ray city in December 04 and the water was extremely rough. The guides were recommending only strong swimmers get in, even though everyone had life jackets. My wife stayed on the boat while I went in. There were time when the waves came over the top of us in the water. A lady fell off the ladder getting back on the boat. She wasn't hurt, but more shocked and embarassed. I felt bad my wife stayed on the boat, but the Sting Rays were great. We wished thid portion of the tour was cancelled and refunded. About 5-6 peoiple stayed on and several that went in wished they didn't. Hopefully in April, waters will be more calm so we can do it again.
