wait list dining question

Hi! We are sailing on the Magic in March. We were waitlisted for 6:00 dining time and assigned the late time instead. What are the chances we will get the 6:00 time? If this has happened to any of you, how did they notify you or should we just check once on board? Thanks!

We depart on the Vista on Feb 11th and booked it back last April. Our early dining time request has been waitlisted since then. IF we don't get early, we will go with Your Time Dining.

I know of other cruisers with Carnival who have found out their dining time at check in.

When I booked the Sunshine for my parents, they were on the early dining waitlist. We found out via email that they had been "cleared" and were on early dining.

Also, I just booked Vista for January 2018 and was waitlisted for early dining, which I find to be crazy! Almost a whole year from now and early dining is already full? DH seems to think they have less slots for early dining now to accommodate more your time dining. I don't know if that is the case, but it is a good theory.
