newtocruisin4 Posted November 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2005 The itinerary was changed on our first cruise, (Oct 23-30) from Western to Eastern Carribean. We were heartbroken, having heard that the Eastern Carribean ports were more about shopping and dining than the West. One amazing experience, thanks to some last minute internet surfing, was a place called Loterie Farms. It's a ropes course through the trees, well worth it's price of $40 each. It had zip lines, and the works, and for our family of 4, took an hour and a half of sweat, and exhilerating fun to complete. Word to the wise, though, they have a deal w/ several cruise lines, so you have to book it through the cruise. We were on Carnival, which didn't have it as a choice, so they let us do it. What a blast! Even my pessimistic 13 y/o LOVED it! I don't spend alot of time on this site, as we can rarely go cruising, but I owed this gem to the many who helped me before our cruise. Enjoy! gtaylor Posted November 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2005 Thanks, so much, for that post. If I could ask, for the benefit of this board, how did you get there (assume taxi) and what did it cost? Were arrangements made for the return trip in advance? All of that stuff. Thanks for any information that you can share with us. gary
