Duffus Posted February 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2017 I have tried to get an answer from TUI UK with regards this question, unfortunately to no avail, as yet! So, I am going to ask here to see if anyone has experienced this problem. On the cruise I have booked, 14 days in the Canary Islands, I decided to purchase extra legroom seats at £25 per seat out and back, totalling £100. However, on the seat plan given to select my seats it shows the plan for a 757 which has 18 extra legroom seats. My question to Thomson was: This route normally uses a 737 aircraft which only has 9 extra legroom seats and not the 18 shown on the 757. What do you do if you have 18 passengers booked and paid for, expecting extra legroom seats but you can only provide 9 seats in a different location on the smaller aircraft. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so how was it resolved?
suekay Posted February 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Not exactly this problem but similar. We'd booked 3 premier seats and chosen the seat numbers. When the plane was changed everybody kept the same seat number regardless of whether it was still in the Premier section. Those who didn't know of the change of plane in advance were informed at the bag drop desk and given contact details to claim a refund.
