Empress of Seas - Forward facing cabins - Deck 8

Anybody have experience with the forward facing cabins on Deck 8 of Empress of Seas - I'm looking at Deck 9 and it is 'open space' - so wondering what type of noise can be heard in these cabins. Thanks for any feedback on these cabins

The open space on deck 9 is the Bridge. We stayed in the Royal Suite 8006 and there was no noise at all.

We were in 8004 a couple months ago, next to the RS. Not a bad cabin - quiet and a decent view. The walkway deck in front of these cabins is rarely used by anyone other than their occupants, and is accessible via the hatchways on either side of the ship.

Thank you for the responses .. guess my next question would be .. is there any way to get some chairs up there? I'm sure if we give our cabin steward an extra tip that may work .... any thoughts?

There was one deck chair out there one day, but gone the next. We didn't try/ask to get any. There is a stairway down to the open forward deck on 7, and, if I remember correctly, to 6, also.
