Just off the carnival breeze. Here's my opinion on kids club and overall

We are in our 40's with 3 boys ages 8,8, 7. We have been on several cruises...can look at my signature below for specific cruise lines. We like to travel in 4 star to 5 star hotels.

I'm happy to see that the breeze is undergoing refurbishment. It really needs to be cleaned up. I was grossed out when sitting by the taco bar...the windows by the pool deck were dirty with hair all over it...and it wasn't just where I was sitting...it was all over. The frame was dirty with stains, food, dirt, etc. I actually did not sit there the rest of the cruise. It just gave a dirty feel to the areas by the lido deck. The carpet in the main areas are stained and dirty. It will be nice after refurbishment no doubt!

I was really disappointed to see people leaving plates of food on the main staircase and other random areas around the ship. Come on people....this is no a way to behave!

Smoking was terrible on this ship. The casino needs better ventilation because the smoke smell carries out into other areas of the ship on deck 5. Hopefully they can address this during refurbishment.

As a family of 5 we have always sailed in larger family suites. With two connecting balcony cabins the space still felt tight to us. This is subjective but we realized that we need more space.

Comedy shows: We really enjoyed all the comedians on the ship. We went almost every night to the lime light lounge for good laughs. The adult and family versions were both great! Highly recommend!

Food: Subjective but there were more options (taco bar, burgers, sandwiches, mongolian grill, tandoor, pizza, buffet) for lunch then dinner (buffet, sandwiches, pizza) on lido deck. We are not foodies so we are not the best people to ask. We didn't even go to the main dining room...we like to eat quickly and have more time for other activities.

Casino: $6 tables for black jack is awesome! Friendly dealers. Poor bar service around the casino not at the bar.

Kids Club: One of the reasons we love carnival is for their kids clubs. My kids did activities with the sting rays and sharks...but mostly sharks (the older group). The hours are great! Other cruise lines close for 2 hours at lunch and then again 2 hours at dinner time. Carnival kept the club open all day and just asked that you pick them up for lunch at some point. This really gave us the flexibility we wanted. On port days they are open all day and don't close at all. They go straight into dinner. We are not those people that keep our kids there all day..but its so nice to have options. Its even better when your kids are begging to go to the kids club. They had so much fun there. They do charge after 10 pm but Carnival is so generous with gifts...even though they are charging you an hourly rate they turn around and give the kids so many goodies when they leave at the end of the night....toys, bags, trinkets, etc. The parties are the same way. I will list some activities during camp: Active fireball, Spin art, science and discover blast off, movie nights, kids choice, science and discover goop, rock star lip sync, color war, feed the fish, games, etc. The camp counselors are all excellent with the kiddos. My boys were giving them hugs at the end! That is a wonderful sign! This is the main reason we love Carnival!

Okay as i think of more i will post.

So glad your kids enjoyed the kids club. We were on this cruise also, my daughter who is 10 went to the kids club Monday night after dinner. She stayed for the party that night, but then decided she didn't want to go back anymore. She kept saying she wanted to go then when it was time for her to actually go she would change her mind. Although I think one of the main reasons was because her sister who is 12 was in circle C and she did not really click with anyone there so she didn't go to her activities and stayed with us.

My husband and I did notice the Breeze looking worn down. And we were kinda disappointed in the service. While most of the crew was very nice they just seemed like they didn't want to be bothered to do anything extra. A couple of times when we ordered our drinks I swear the bartenders just looked upset that they had to make something.
