starbug Posted November 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2005 Hi, We were on the same cruise, it really was amazing wasn't it and being in a convoy of 40 coaches was something to remeber. Seeing the Stromboli volcano was a fantastic unexpected extra. It's just sooooo sad to be off of the ship now.:(
Mayor Kathie Posted November 18, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted November 18, 2005 I have to say Rome was just wonderful,we were able to see so much because our table friends were Italian Americans and they were great tour guides, we saw so much but will go back for a long weekend ,to see the rest.As for Patrick O`Shaunessy well he will live in our memories for along time.By the way it was not THAT rough was it! starbug Posted November 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2005 Hi Kathie, Rome was amazing, we have over half a CD's worth of photographs for there! It sounds great that you had good tour guides. Patrick O`Shaunessy's wise phrases were good, I just whish I could remeber them all. Before we went, everybody kept saying that the Bay of Biscay was going to be rough and I didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be "a little bit lively", which was rougher than I expected. It was still a great holiday and we'd do it again if we could.
