Canadian Rye Whiskey on Celebrity Eclipse??

I normally drink Gibson's Finest here in Canada. Crown Royal is my next choice.

Celebrity drink list does not list Crown, but someone has replied that he had it on the Eclipse in December.

Nice to get Canadian whiskey as I am not much of a rum/vodka person, and can only drink some much Bud-light. :-)

Does anyone know if summit has it as well?

I've seen RC on all of the Celebrity ships we've been on, including the Summit, Millie, Eclipse, Equinox and Silly. We have a friend that always looks for Crown Reserve or XR and they don't have those or any other Crown's other than regular Crown. If you're a RC drinker it's better than nothing, but if they had some others it would be fabulous. I love XR, Reserve, Black, regular and the vanilla.....none on the ships or in Las Vegas at most casinos.....I can live with or without a lot on a cruise, but then I love vodka more than Crown and they do vodka's justice....and yet, they don't have our favorite. They can't please everyone, but then I understand.....I'll go and enjoy another perk from the cruise and there are tons.

My son was so disappointed that they didn't have Highland Park 12 or 15 last year. They did have Highland Park, but not the 12 or 15. I remember that they had a limited amount or the common variety, something that left my son unfulfilled as far as his hunt for HP. I don't drink scotch so I didn't pay a lot of attention. Fortunately my son likes Crown too, so we were both disappointed that they didn't have the array of Crown, but made do. Hey, they try and we can adjust or at least try....so many people that like so many different things. I will say that we had a cocktail staff member in the dining room running all over the ship looking for HP. They do try. Need to be a little flexible, but all of the other things we need/want are always taken care of. We're happy to be able to get almost anything we want or new things to try as far as food, etc. They are great with kids too, experienced by us on last years cruise. We're happy cruisers and find much more to be happy about than not.

As a point of reference, we eat in the MDR every night and the staff work their hiney's off trying to please. We've been disappointed in a few things, but for the most part everything is fun, different, exciting, new and just plain, not "at work/home" related. We expect a lot when we cruise because it's expensive and you're putting yourself and your money in the hands of someone else, but we can be flexible and always, ALWAYS enjoy Celebrity. We're talking people, a lot of people, us and them. Things change, so do we. Be flexible and enjoy. We also don't get lots of perks, except we do upgrade our drink package because we also enjoy Cafe Bacio. We also only cruise either veranda or Concierge, so we still have lots to be discovered. We're all on vacation, go with it.

I love Crown, so I do understand. Good stuff, for sure. Sorry for the rant. I just found that Total Wine donates all the Crown bags to a Vet organization. I need to take the ones we have :o. We could float a ship.:D

They do have some bourbon choices, including Knob Creek, which has a higher rye content. But, the list of offerings has gotten shorter over the last few years (the single malt list as well). They might have an American Rye like Bulleit at the Martini Bar or World Class Bar.
