Question about embarkation

Hello all, we will be on our first Royal Caribbean cruise in a few weeks (aboard the Navigator) and I have a question about embarkation. My mother is in a wheelchair and my parents are Diamond Plus members. Typically I push her wheelchair so my father does not have to exert himself. They are both Diamond + members, but this is out first RCCL cruise and obviously we are not Diamond Plus. Will we be able to go through the same line as my parents and embark at the same time, or do we need to drop her off at the Diamond + line and then get in the line for passengers with no special status? We are not in the same cabin as my parents. Just trying to plan how we will need to handle this. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Yes! We were on a Boy's Cruise a few years ago (I was a lowly Platinum) and one of the guys needed a wheel chair due to a work injury. Injured chasing a bad guy. When we arrived at the pier a RCCL staffer brought a wheelchair and escorted the entire party to square one (a lounge) retrieved everyone's documents and we were 1st aboard. Great customer service.

Yes you can go with them. At the port I think they have to be wheeled on by a member of staff. Have you contacted Special Needs department? I had to list my DM for assistance. We rented a wheelchair so it was in the cabin when we got onboard. They use different chairs to get on and off the ship. If you are taking your own chair you may still want to speak to Special Needs in advance.
