Beaches Open in Fort Lauderdale??

Are the beaches open to the public yet in Fort Lauderdale? We arrive very early this Sunday and are staying at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper with RCI pre-cruise. Hoping to enjoy a full day of beach time before we board the ship Monday. A bit concerned as Trent has said this property is not the greatest. Is it at least clean? We are Starwood preferred, so hoping to use some points and receive an upgrade to oceanview? Anyone have any thoughts...Trent??

It is clean and right on the beach. It is old and needs an update.

Yes, all of the sand has been put back where it belongs and the beaches are open.

 

Oh it's fine for a night, if you got a deal on it. But yes, it's quite old and needs to be remodeled... This should happen soon to both of the Sheratons.
