montereybob Posted February 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2017 We are considering taking the Misty Fjords boat only excursion. We would like to hear from others who have taken this excursion as to whether or not you enjoyed it. Thanks for any info you can give us.
mamasylvia Posted February 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2017 We are booked on it in 3 months so I'm looking forward to hearing comments as well. One comment I've heard several times is that getting back isn't as interesting because it's the same terrain that you saw when going there. I can't imagine Alaska scenery getting boring after one viewing, but I guess I'll find out one way or the other!
Sequim88 Posted February 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2017 We took the boat to Misty Fjords and floatplane back. It was more expensive but faster and very scenic from the air. Considering R/T by boat this summer since there is not a lot else we wanted to see in Ketchikan. We really enjoyed the boat's ability to get up close to the waterfalls and the petroglyphs. The scenery from water level was stunning.
pepsigirl64 Posted March 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2017 My husband and I took the boat to Misty Fjords in June 2016. After being to Ketchikan many times we decided to do something different. We are so glad that we did it. The trip was spectacular, so beautiful. I would highly recommend it. :D
