Chance of switching from Main Dining to MTD & getting 6:00 reservation after boarding

We are a family of 4, sailing on Oasis on May 28. I am torn about our dining time -- we have main dining, and I the main dining time is 5:30pm. When we signed up, I thought the main dining time would be closer to 6:00pm.

 

What is the likelihood waiting until we are on the ship and switching from Main Dining to MyTime dining and getting 6:00 reservations every night? We like the fixed time of main dining, but 5:30 is so early, and I feel like the extra half hour would make a big difference in not being so rushed getting ready for dinner.

 

I'm afraid to give up our main dining time now and not being able to get a 6:00pm reservation for MyTime dining every night. Any recommendations or advice are greatly appreciated!!

Go to the MTD desk as soon as you board and request the change. You won't lose your existing dining time if they cannot accommodate you.
