Rare chasinraynbowz Posted March 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2017 I booked a cruise for us using the ES rate. I now see I have a Pack and Play for that same cruise that will save me quite a bit of money. Final day to pay is 4/2. Will Carnival honor the Pack and Play rate against the ES rate or would I need to cancel and rebook? (Even with the $50 penalty pp with cancelling, I will still come out ahead.) Cr2zCr8zy Posted March 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Call carnival because you are guaranteed the lowest rate by booking ES. They should switch you to the P&P rate. Sent from my SM-G900T using Forums mobile app

If you can book the same cabin you currently have with the same number of passengers at a lower price with the Pack and Play offer, they will honor it. wildcatcruzer Posted March 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Usually with the P&G rate Carnival picks your room, so just know you might get a undesirable room.
Rare chasinraynbowz Posted March 12, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted March 12, 2017 After being told I could not do it because we have 3 people and the Pack and Go rate was for only 2 people (??) we got disconnected. So I called back and got another lady who told me that the rate I have is a Casino rate, so she transferred me to the correct department and after holding a few minutes, I found out...... Wooo hoooo!! I saved over $500!!!

Pack and go is not the same as pack and play. Pack and play is something to do with casino I believe. Good job on the price reduction OP.:) Bill
Rare chasinraynbowz Posted March 12, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Bill is correct. It was the Pack and Play rate, not Pack and Go which I referred to in an earlier post. But thanks everyone!! I am so excited about the savings!! I was warned however, that any other price drops could affect my $100 OBC.
