Faster To The Fun

I would like to know if you have sailed Carnival from Galveston since they have started this staggered check in. I purchased FTTF for my October cruise, and it says the check in time is between 12-1. I know it depends on variables like weddings, clearing customs etc, but I have always showed up at the port 10:30ish, and most times been on the ship 11ish. That was before FTTF and this staggered checkin. It says you might board LATER, but not earlier. In this case, if they clear the ship faster, they don't start boarding earlier like they use to? It just seems so late to checkin especially with FTTF. Thoughts? Thanks

I've been stalking FTTF like crazy for an opening. My check-in time is 11-11:30, should I still try to get FTTF or since it's one of the earlier times, not really bother? I only want it bc I don't want to sit around for a long time with two excited kids who are ready to get on the ship and having the cabin ready when we board.

OP, let me know if you want me to start a new thread, just thought I'd ask here since my question is related.

I have done 2 staggered checkins at Galveston. One with FTTF and one without. If you have FTTF, check in time in the boarding pass doesn't matter. You go through a separate line and can check in as soon as they open. The earliest I have seen the lines open these last few years in Galveston is around 11:30 for boarding and FTTF will called in around 11:45.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to grab FTTF, so I can relax a bit now. ;p
