Costs of Shuttles/Taxis from Hampton Inn and Suites Galveston to RCCL Port

We booked the Hampton because we only needed one night pre-cruise (many we called had a two night minimum). The website said they had a shuttle, but I found out from a post on CC that they discontinued the shuttle. I called and verified that the shuttle was discontinued (their shuttle broke down and they are not planning on replacing it).

 

I have looked on the taxi websites for Galveston and cannot see rates. From the map, the hotel does not look too terribly far from the port, but we are wondering if it is worth it to continue looking for a different pre-cruise hotel with a shuttle or stay put and pay the taxi.

I have not taken a taxi in Galveston but have heard good things from several people that have used this taxi service. They also said he has tours if you are interested in that.

It shouldn't cost very much for a cab because Galveston is not very big and anywhere you go will not be far.
