Discovery repositional cruise November 2017

Recommended Posts

Yes, we booked this in January this year. We are keen to see how this compares to our last re positioning cruise we had with RCI on the Serenade in November 2013. The ship should be similar with the itinerary a bit different (our last TA was via Cadiz, Tenerife, Cococay and ended up at New Orleans). We think that a transatlantic re-positioning provides good value for money. The Caribbean also is good VFM and the weather at that time of year will be good. Another plus point is that the flights home are with Thomson. On our RCI TA cruise the timing of arriving at New Orleans and getting to the airport was impossible (not only due to delays at NO disembarking, but also the timing of the route form the docks to airport - we would have needed a helicopter!)- so we ended up having an unscheduled free "overnighter" in New Orleans and had a different convoluted flight path home!
