Hello alli have been looking into an Alaska cruise out of Seattle June or July 2018 with Glacier Bay. We Really like having a balcony.Between the cruise price close to $5,000 with tax etc and the airfare from NJ at least $1,000 for two, plus we would stay in Seattle 2 nights so we could at least spend a full day, this is quite a pricey trip.

My question is could we still enjoy our cruise without booking any excursions???

My husband really wants to go!!

Thanks for your help

I agree balconies are very nice, especially if you think you would be out on the cold windy balcony vs the cold windy decks for viewing. A port hole, although not a balcony lets you see the outside world also. What is the difference between booking a porthole vs a balcony. I'm sure it may be around $2000/cabin. So...balcony or a few very nice excursions. Make of spreadsheet with pro and cons.
