Ah, John Bull. Can't tell you how many times I've been in that store. I can almost see the little bench where I sometimes get to take a nap.

You feel me.

While roaming the stores I got to take in a bit of an NBA game at a pharmacy!

We had lunch at our favorite Nassau spot, Oh Andrus. Then we took a cab back to the port.

After soaking in a little breeze from the balcony to cool off I took a nap. Got up in time for sail away and getting ready for formal night. We have a 6pm reservation at Giovanni's.

We got to Giovanni's a little late but it was no issue we were seated promptly. We were the 4th table seated. The place was not full at all which left it nice and intimate for us. Tonight happens to be formal night too.

Our waiter was Dino (aka Christopher). Really nice. He did the cleverest upsell I have ever seen though. They have this nifty aerator/decanter for wine (we brought our own bottle) that he used to pour our wine.

My wife liked it so much he said I will get you one. He comes back with one in a box and say "here I put it next to you". So this thing sits at our dinner table throughout the meal, made for some conversation and whether they were giving them away at Chops too. My wife kept reminding me to give him a good tip. Well at the end of the dinner before he gets the check he asks: "Should I charge it, pointing at the box?". What!!?? We could have sworn it was free. Yeah it was $40 on sale for $30. Nice one Dino. Well played.

We left decanter-less needless to say. Dino still got a good tip, he was excellent. All and all it was a great dinner, food was really good, except a tad bit lacking in salt for my palette. I also thought the selection was well varied. You must, and I repeat must try the tiramisu. Each waiter claims it's his grandmothers, but that is the best I have had since the last time I tried it many moons ago. Hence why it didn't survive for a photo-op. The custards were a great complement too.

After Giovanni's we roamed the shipboard shops for some gifts. I normally don't buy or intend to buy anything at the shops but they had an erroneous mark down on a men's perfume just ran out of that I had to capitalize on that. In fact when the clerk saw that she pulled the whole lot off the shelf and said the new girl mark thr wrong item. They also had a sale if you bought one perfume you could get a second from the center rack for $29.99. I found another one of my faves in there.

That is the most you will get from me on shopping and sales.

We also got our mugshots taken.

We then danced to some latin music at Boleros. Band was OK. Just us and another couple danced. They were much better and younger than us.

Then we went back to the room to change. We came back to Boleros for the next band. Then the party was on. They were incredible. Played a lot of 70's dance music. There was a lot of dancers and it drew a crowd. Either to see the older oriental ladies group that were getting down or me shaking my tail feather to the beat of the ocean not the music.

After that we rushed to the Cosmopolitan Club lounge to catch one of favorite events when cruising, the adult karaoke. But to our disappointment it was packed, standing room only. Also their main machine broke yesterday they say and so the backup machine played too softly to be heard over the crowd. While lurking around for a little we visited the Skylight Chapel for a bit, which is just one deck up.

After that we headed to the Spa for my wife to make an appointment. For some reason I love their staircase.

After that we broke one of our cruising rules and decided to go to the production show we lasted 5mins. No matter how much you change the singers, dancers, theme and music its still the same show. I am not a musicals fan but don't get me wrong I have seen an incredible Beatles tribute musical performed with a live orchestra so I know a good show when I see it. Rant over. Nothing is going to ruin this cruise.

We headed to '__fe Promenade' sign is still broken. It was full but we found seats. I had a before bed snack with tea.

Fell asleep on the balcony again last night. Can anything beat waking up to this?

This morning we go stirring at 8am. We went to the Spa for the wife's appointment but it appears the attending person didn't realize he had a 9:30am scheduled. So we rescheduled for 11:30am. We headed to the WJ for breakfast then. Yippee I got a window seat.

WJ was full but never felt overcrowded.

Alright this morning I plan to do a deck by deck tour. See what interesting finds I make.

Our ship tour got cut short once we hit deck 12. We decided to stop and play mini-golf. There were quite a few folks playing but the wait was not long. We enjoyed watching two young brothers ahead of us as they were pretty good.

We then had lunch at the WJ. Then it was off to our balcony for a nap.

We are now getting ready for the 5pm ice show.

If you see the super-tall guys in 7688 (the opposite corner aft from you) and 7690, please tell them Gigi said hello! That's my daughter and her family. Grandson is 6'9", their father is 6'7", younger grandson is 6'4". And two 11-year-old grandsons. You can't miss them in a crowd.

If they were on the basketball court around 11am we may have spotted them. There were some herculian giants out there. But we'll keep spying across our balcony to see if we get a glimpse of them. It is quite quiet back on the aft side of the ship. Quite a ghost town. Our room steward has gone missing. We are still debating who really is keeping up the room.

That was the best ice show we have ever seen. High energy great performance and interaction with the audience. Perhaps we relish more with our entertainers risking life and limb to entertain us.

Herculean giants ... ha ha ... that was probably them. The grandsons will either be spending their free time on the basketball court or eating.

BTW, just noticed that you are from NC too. Daughter and her family are originally from NC. Tallest grandson is a junior in high school. He and his team just won the SC state 5A basketball championship. Next tallest grandson and his team won their 5A JV tournament.

Haha. Just noticed your handle too. Nice we are north of the border from you. I happen to be 6'3" and my son is on pace to surpass me. Must be the Carolina water.

What part of NC are you from? We're in the Piedmont Triad, where our daughter and son-in-law grew up.

Everything is supposed to be bigger in Texas. Hmmm, I'm not sure about that!

Sorry I thought I read SC. Even better NC. We go up to Wake Forest once year. We are in the Charlotte area. We are transplants from Florida.

Dinner was nice and calm at the MDR. With reserved my time dining seating was fast. Service was quick. Our waiter and assistant waitress were excellent. We talked alot and so they let us.

I tried the MDR tiramisu but it failed epically compared to the Giovanni's one. I guess I have a reason to go back to Gio's.

We are killing time at the Schooner bar, trivia game, until the Bon Jovi tribute orchestra. show.

Interesting...they didn't have this on our cruise. They had an a capella show on the first sea day instead.

I've heard the food on Royal Caribbean has declined in recent years. What do you think?

I think the selections have declined over the years we have sailed, but the quality seems to be consistent to me. That is both for the MDR and WJ.
