Whale shark excursion?

Just wondering if anyone has done any whale shark excursions while in Cozumel? Any experiences or recommendations??

It's on my bucket list, but I'm definitely going to do it on a land stay. The area where the Whale Sharks usually congregate is a pretty good hike from Cozumel. You will spend the majority of the day traveling. I know this is an amazing experience, but I would only consider it from a land stay. I know the ships are offering it as an excursion and that's definitely the ONLY way to go if you are on a cruise (for the security to return to the ship on time) but I still think it would be a Loooooong day of traveling with a very short swim time......if you even find them.
