edington Posted March 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2017 The best tours we took in Lisbon were with a company called We Hate Tourism Tours! They were fantastic and I highly recommend them! We took a dinner tour, a city tour and one to Sintra. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
birketne Posted April 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2017 I have spent weeks in Lisbon working and I enjoy the city. I have taken the red HOHO bus - it gives you a great overview of the center of the city as well as Belem, which is a wonderful area. We are on the Vision 30APR BCN to AMS and will be stopping there May 3. My plan to introduce my husband to the city is to take the red HOHO in the morning, go to Belem to see the monastery and the tribute to the great explorers of Portugal, and then do a port tasting. Lisbon is very hilly, so depending upon where you want to go, you may want to take a cab or bus. Bus/trams were 1,5 EUR the last time I used them, but have probably increased. Cabs were actually quite reasonable, compared to other large cities.
Albert Bell Posted May 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2017 I got my pocket picked waiting to get on the HOHO at the port... wasted the whole day getting back onto the ship....it was the port I was looking forward to the most too. Just be careful and have fun.
