first port on our cruise. any recommendations outside of cruise excursions? any beaches near where ship docks? thanks

We loved our private tour with Joyce Prince. You can google her. We went all over the island. It was great.

 

There is a beach within walking distance of the pier. There are plenty of people who can point you how to get out of the port area. It's just a short walk to the beach and a boardwalk that has lots of restaurants, bars, and shops.

 

We enjoyed Marigot. We loved the atmosphere there. Lots of sidewalk cafes. A great bakery called Sarafina's.
