holidayhelen Posted April 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2017 Hello Can anyone recommend a good tour to pick us up from our cruise ship in Laem Chabang - tour Bangkok - maybe a hotel overnight and then a bit more tour the 2nd day before returning us to the cruise ship. We are looking for tour suggestions and also hotel suggestions Thank you in advance H
TooManyBags Posted May 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Hi Certainly recommend an overnight in Bangkok, journey time from the port to city is a couple of hours each way and can be a little more if traffic unkind. Hotels Riverside such as " Chatrium Riverside" are very good, and a little less frenetic than those city centre. Also a good location for an evening visit to Asiatique if that took your fancy. Your arrival time can influence your Bangkok tours, but a must see is the Grand Palace and I think Was Pho is worthy of some time and perhaps take a traditional massage whilst there. Good to do some research on what you would like to see and do. A reliable guide we have used a few times is Wandee wandee@wandeetours.com. She has some tours listed on her site but customises to suit. Usually very responsive to e mail. So much to see, do and eat in Bangkok,it is tempting sometimes to cram in too much, a mistake I made first visit. Have a fantastic time am certain that you will.
