Sodas and Half Moon Cay question

Nope Cheers and Bottomless Bubbles (the 2 drink packages) are not able to be used while at Half Moon Cay, you can buy drinks a la carte though. If you befriend a bartender by the way of cash tips you might be able to get them to give you a closed can or two to bring off the ship with you to hold the kids over until your back on board.

It always used to be, but not any more. Neither Bottomless Bubbles or Cheers! works on HMC.

There's allegedly a technical reason they can't link the data from the island to the ship (to track the 15 drink limit) but there's no reason they can't still look at the soda sticker, IMHO.

Yes, but then they wouldn't be able to enforce the 5-minute rule, or make sure that the person using the card was the person linked to the card. So there would be too much sharing of cards.

I guess the thing that disappoints me is before the Cheers program even existed, the soda card was accepted on HMC with no problems. They could honour the soda card and Cheers! for non-alcoholic beverages IF they wanted to.

if you have a family, getting a cabana may be worthwhile. As I recall, it includes sodas. Really enjoyed having when we went with my 3 kids.

another idea - you can take a 12 pack per person on board. Take one to HMC with you and just get ice for your drinks from the bartenders . Or take a small soft side cooler with you to ice them down.
