Spearj Posted April 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2017 Hi All, Apologies if this has been asked before, but after googling it and searching CC, I've given up.... I have a cruise which I booked with Celebrity while on board and am looking to possibly transferring it to a Travel Agent. I followed a useful link on CC (http://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/articles.cfm?ID=62) and the link therein to:- https://www.cruiseexperts.org/new-to-cruise/find-an-agent/ but when I look to find an Agent the second column for Level appears to have different colour coded "balloons" - pink, gold, various blues etc. So, I'm basically wondering what the colour coding means and should it influence my choice of Agent? Any help much appreciated. :)
MagicMike Posted April 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2017 In the US, https://www.cruising.org/cruise-vacationer/cruise-travel-guide/clia-agent-finder those are the levels of accreditation that the agents in that particular agency have achieved. We have different levels here in the US, from top to bottom: ECCS-Elite Cruise Counsellor Scholar ECC-Elite Cruise Counsellor MCC-Master Cruise Counsellor ACC-Accredited Cruise Counsellor These levels are very difficult to achieve, the lowest, ACC requires Many hours of training courses, live or online tests, at least 5 ship inspections, 2 personal cruises and a minimum of at least 12 booked cruises in a 2 year period.
