Dinner seating while in port in Acapulco

My sister and I will be on the Mexican Riviera cruise on the Mercury 04/07/06. The ship will be in Acapulco until 11:00pm. Will there still be the two dinner seatings, or will there be open seating in the dining room? Thank you.

We tend not to eat ashore while cruising, so even on late port nights we seldom miss dinner. This was an excellent thing on the late night in Juneau during our Mercury cruise last August -- turns out they had a special menu just for that night because they figured on sparse turnout -- the spotlight entree was crab legs! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY. Dining room for early seating was barely a quarter full and we felt sorry the other folks were missing the best dinner of the cruise ... can't guarantee your Acapulco night will have some similar treat, but it's worth checking the menu (or even asking your waiter the night before if you won't be on board when the menu goes up in the afternoon) -- TR

We were just thinking that if they didn't have the two seatings that would be a good night to have our dinner served by our butler on our balcony. We may still decide to have dinner on the balcony that night anyway.

We were in Acapulco on Infinity with a late sailing also and they definitely had 2 seatings. However we wanted to see the night cliff divers, which meant we were back too late for our 2nd seating dinner.

Instead we just ate pasta at the outside bar at the stern, looking over Acapulco, it was 24th December and was wonderful!
