I purchased a bucket of beer for my DH to have in the cabin and there was a little note on the page that said it is for consumption in the room only. Not to be taken into public areas. Tell me how can they tell the difference in the beer that you have in your cabin and what they sell at their bars?

That's there for legal reasons. They don't want you downing 4 beers in 5 mins and blaming them when you do something stupid, hence the drink in your room note. Drink em wherever you want.
