Oceanliners, tie required?

Can anyone tell me if ties are required in the Oceanliners restaurant? I know that jackets are but was not sure about ties.

The restaurant follows the evening dress code for the rest of the ship.. in a way..... minimum requirement for men is a jacket... no tie required. Formal night, he'd want to be dressed as if for the main dining room.

 

And of course, when we speak of jackets, we are talking about blazers..... you should see what some men consider jackets!!!

We just were not sure if the ties were required. My husband always has a sport jacket or two on the cruise. Thanks for the info.
