Please help, I need a fast answer

Just saw a post regarding the port side of Celebrity ships being the smoking side (Century in particular). Could you tell me if they meant the public areas, or were they also talking about the cabins? Is there such a thing as a non-smoking cabin? I know on HAL there is not, however my cabin did not smell of smoke at all, and I feel sure someone must have smoked in it at some point. I'm hoping that the cabins on the Century will also smell clean and fresh.

A fast reply is appreciated, as I would like to book my cruise very soon.

Thanks in advance.:)

No non-smoking cabins on Celebrity to the best of my knowledge. The port side of the ship refers to the open deck, the lounges. Smoking is not permitted in the dining areas or the theater. It is permitted in the Casino.

Hope that helps.

I've been on three Celebrity cruises so far, and I strongly dislike the smell of smoke. And I've never smelled it in my cabin! I have no idea how they do such a great job of making everything smell clean and fresh, but they do!

Thanks so much to all of you. As always this board is such a wonderful place to come to clear up any doubts and questions.

Now I'm troubled because we may not be able to make the trip I was hoping to. It ends up that my DH has a conflict with his job that he may not be able to get out of. Darn. :( Oh well, it's completely out of my hands. Guess you can't always get what you want (did I just hear Mick Jagger?).

At some point in time I'll probably be back here with more questions.

MANY THANKS.

P.S. Isn't it amazing how cruise ships can get rid of smoke odors in confined areas. My experience on HAL was the same as you all talked about...thank goodness.
