How far in advance??

I've was able to book excursions for my cruise 5 or 6 months out. The thing that I noticed that's different about MSC than from Disney is that you have to pay for your excursion at the time of booking, to which they reimburse you if the ship doesn't make the planned dock at a particular island. With Disney, you reserve the excursion then pay after you have gone on the excursion.
