katyjeka Posted May 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2017 We've booked our cruise for December, NCL Spirit leaving from Barcelona. I was hoping someone with children who sailed this time of year in Barcelona could feel us in on how many kids were on your cruise. Our girls are a little worried they won't meet anyone new which I'm sure isn't the case. Thanks for any advice traveling here with kids.... kitkat343 Posted May 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2017 You can try calling NCL. Forumites have previously reported mixed results with this, but you can keep calling until you get an operator who tells you how many other children are on this sailing. Do bear in mind that if you are sailing during the school year, it is unlikely that there will be many children on the sailing. If you are sailing during the Christmas holidays, there will probably be a lot of children on board. When our son was 2, we went on a 10 day Panama Canal cruise leaving January 8th, and there were 10 children on board. There were 150 kids on the previous sailing, which left over the Christmas holidays. Good luck.
katyjeka Posted May 6, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted May 6, 2017 Thanks. We are going the 2nd week of dec. so we will be missing the Xmas crowd. We traveled on the Spirit from New York in Dec. and actually enjoyed the ship and her small size. That trip had twenty some kids and our girls still enjoyed it. Our Panama cruise had next to no kids as well.
